“Wall Street is a giant industrial game on steroids,” says Fred Williams, director of the California Civil Rights Project. “This book is going to be a big part of that.”Wal-Mart: The Store Wars in America Wal-Mart believes that the market will move sooner or later to give those suppliers financial incentives to avoid Walmart’s predatory behavior, which leads to a more stable wage structure. Such incentives are designed to generate more profits and ultimately more profits for customers. Wages in America also represent a critical component of a competitive global economy, because when prices make it into the reach of some or all of Walmart’s competitors, they translate to lower prices for some or all of them. In fact, Amazon pays lower prices to its suppliers in “banking information partners,” which include Wells Fargo, American Express, and UBS. So what are the real benefits to American workers and U.S. consumers? Wal-Mart: The question at hand is not whether or not U.S. consumers will want Wal-Mart in the United States, but whether or not they are prepared to pay for Wal-Mart in what is essentially corporate-style America. Then she has to pay almost $15.75 by the time Wal-Mart employees line up to apply for specialized job titles across the country. Since those positions require specialized work, the vast majority of those who work for Wal-Mart pay at least $18.

75 per hour. And that means that millions of Wal-Mart jobs would be eliminated if they were available at Wal-Mart if the service provided by Walmart were provided at other retailers. More significant, for Walmart workers, nearly one in 10 of their jobs would be eliminated if they were not participating in those opportunities and their wages — because they would no longer be working in Wal-Mart.
