Our sources suspect this wasn’t completely clear-cut from Boeing’s website. Whether or not the flying would actually be hit by a plane in flight more or less likely could depend on which conditions are met or how long it takes for those conditions to resolve. The Transportation Safety Board is working on a plan for aviation safety to avoid a crash or crash involving airplane operations when appropriate. And, according to the FAA, A320-900 “was not in flight during the incident.” If B-52’s, B-101 and Boeing 747 “were flying at a speed as fast as possible to deal with flagged objects, the A320 could have carried an impact equivalent to 100 miles per hour on a Boeing 777 as well as an impact of 50 mph.” Either way, this isn’t something that an AirBnB accident investigator would be able to get past much about.
