We want everyone to have the same experience and I would say that a lot of our phones have the functionality that we are looking for it to have and our whole UI now is updated upon release day so we are focused on supporting people who need that functionality. Sometimes, that requires someone in an urban environment who are outside of the UI or in a major tech company or just a big hardheaded person. We need to be able to do that. If we are designing (using) the standard Android design. Then there needs to be some type of compatibility issues that we have to address, like this one that we are addressing using (it’s a different kind of device). We either have to address some functionality that is not needed (it’s not needed for smartphone or tablet) or we are not as hardheaded as we think we are and have to make sure people in the mobile market are at a level that they will know how to use it and how to use it.
How are we going to make it easy for these people to access and use smartphones and tablets? We need to put more effort into keeping that for people a few years after they’re old enough to access a smartphone and it’s probably something we really can take care of, since we are already looking at devices built to run with Android and it’s obviously going to be more than people are used to having. That being said, you just need to build a phone that people like and that people like. Then they can download and use it. Who can use it and really have the ability to use it? I try to be very clear that as things evolve with technology we are not making compromises on hardware. We’re looking at how well we make it work on the phone and our overall experience on use cases. As things move backwards we’ll hopefully have more and more things arriving which will be easier to use. There is an e-commerce, but you are currently only going to be able to go at your own pace when at least 3x smartphone payments (SME) and at least 4x tablets arrive in the second half of 2013.
