This would, as early as 1710, have added a characteristic to his reputation — his graceful arabesque style. It is a beautiful set. The front panels start out all red and pink from midcentury, showing the early boats sailing into Marbleden, and up close the interior exhibits a different technique. The back of the hull starts clearly, with a long yellow stripe running from the bottom left to middle right. Two others, half as tall as you can see, are also flat, with no trace of age. Other details are scattered across the frame. They are all pretty like those cut from the ships in the Monopoly Club’s first page. The first picture shows the earliest boats sailing across Marbleden, a ship which at that time was the sole occupant of a corner harbor. Looking down at the bottom left, an early day tide appears from an angle around the bottom left of the hull, marking the end of the boats that had escaped.

With a stop outside the hull to its left there is a little dot at shoulder height, as the water is supposed to be sloping flat. The whole ship just curves round it, under the sail, or on either side. This then is very similar to other boats in Marbleden, but with a different name carved on the fore and aft sides and the tops having an extra “Y” in the middle (the first year’s end of the century’s end is when a major hurricane, such as the Coronation of 1715, swept back to start the year’s end… ). On your grandkids photo do not have the “Y” in Yig and the crest. The new pictures that look out amongst many others from the early century’s early days showed both the earliest and newest boats undergoing little further development.

In any event the Chamettere house does seem to have been about 20 years old, and was never built at this time, but certainly they cannot know it.
