No 11, Springer-Verlag **Abstract** The long range terms of various models of dynamical systems often encounter severe difficulties. (For some years, we encountered difficulties with describing a large number of systems, including many discrete ones, including those studied by Susskind.) We have presented a first formulation of a nonlinear dynamical system, which is not limited to the so-called time-reversibility (or, more generally, the transit time) approximation, but the key structural and other requirements of its description require nonlinearities of the moment functions. The present paper attempts to describe the stability of a system, with the aim of satisfying the long range effects; we then introduce a system that does, using the transit time phenomenon described, but which is not of this order. Under suitable assumptions, we show that the relaxation to the 2-dimensional potential-dependence is responsible for the nonlinearity without the need of additional properties of the moment functions. Our example shows why such a regularized version of the 2-dimensional potential seems preferable for such very efficient description.
